EU - EN 71-1:2011+A3:2014 – Mechanical and Physical Properties of Toys Published
New version of En71-1 Safety Standard was
published on 2014-Mar-12, this new version should take effect on
2014-Oct-1. The key changes are related to the definition of paper and
paperboard, tension force of paper and paperboard and elastic fabric.
EU - EN 71-2:2011+A1:2014 – Flammability of Toys Published
New version of En71-2 Safety Standard was
published on 2014-Mar-26, this new version should take effect on
2014-Oct-1. As there are two European languages, Swedish and Cyprus.

EU - REACH Regulation
(Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)
COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) No 301/2014
amended Annex XVII of Regulation (EC) No.
1907/2004 regarding to the use of Chromium VI in leather products on
2014-Mar-26. This amendment permitted a grace period for the retailing
market until 2015-May-1. Chromium VI has been finding in clothing, textiles and fashion items frequently in European country. Proper actions such as withdrawal in market are being taken and reported weekly in RAPEX. DPI is ready to provide testing service
which is according to the standard method EN ISO17075.
